How many NBA teams were represented in the 2012 London Olympics?

     There were 19 NBA teams represented in the 2012 London Olympics.  More than any other professional basketball league in the world.  The NBA had plenty of salaries riding on these Olympic games.  Here’s a breakdown by team and combined team salaries.

     Looking at the data, we can see that there were four NBA teams that had over $30,000,000 in salaries riding on the Olympics.  These teams must have been nervous about injuries to their players during the games.  The Los Angeles Lakers only had two players in the Olympics but had $46,850,000 in salaries.  That made them the top NBA team in salaries in these games.  The second team, Oklahoma City Thunder, had four players with $38,412,000.  The San Antonio Spurs had $36,137,000 with five players to place them in third.  The fourth spot goes to the New York Knicks with two players at $34,067,000.
